BREAKING – MIAMI TO HOST 2022 RACE

In the last few hours F1 has confirmed that Miami will host a second race in America alongside Austin next season. It will be the 11th location in the US to host race and the second in the state of Florida since 1959.

The track goes around the Hard Rock stadium which is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment hub which has hosted multiple super bowls and Baseball world series. The circuit contains 19 corners and 3 main straights which will hold up to 3 DRS zones.

“We are thrilled to announce that Formula 1 will be racing in Miami beginning in 2022,” said Stefano Domenicali, President & CEO of Formula 1.

“The USA is a key growth market for us, and we are greatly encouraged by our growing reach in the US which will be further supported by this exciting second race. We will be working closely with the team from Hard Rock Stadium and the FIA to ensure the circuit delivers exciting racing but also leaves a positive and lasting contribution to the people in the local community.”

As part of the race it is intended to give back to the local community including a programme to support local businesses, a STEM hub and discounted tickets for local residents.
