Alpine launches debut car

The newly rebranded Alpine F1 team have revealed their first F1 car the A521.

Alpine joins the grid in 2021 as a rebrand of the Renault team. The Alpine brand is a French manufacturer and motorsport team owned by Renault and has been in other motorsports such as Rally for years.

With a new team comes a new livery, the A521 featuring a deep blue base colour with white and red highlights containing the Alpine logo.

The team retains Frenchman Esteban Ocon who will be joined by two time world champion Fernando Alonso who returns to the team he won the championship with in 2005 and 2006.

UPDATE: Just after revealing the car Alpine have announced that Russian Daniil Kvyat, who was dropped by Alpha Tauri, will join the team as reserve driver for 2021.

Alpha Tauri – 19th Feb
Alfa Romeo – 22nd Feb
Red Bull – 23rd Feb
Mercedes – 2nd March
Alpine – 2nd March
Haas – 3rd March
Aston Martin – 4th March
Williams – 5th March
Ferrari – 10th March
