Max Verstappen is set to take grid penalties after his latest engine failure at the Belgium Grand Prix.
Verstappen had changed to his 4th combustion engine ahead of FP3 and so any further changes would take him over the yearly limit and incur a penalty.
He is still ok with other engine components having only used 3 turbos and 2 of everything else.
Christian Horner told Motorsport.com:
“I can understand his frustration but the majority of them have been beyond our control,”
“He’s now staring down the barrel of a bunch of penalties in Monza so it is really frustrating for him.”
“Our engine partners have apologised and are quite aware that their reliability and product isn’t where it should be.”
