It is believed that Sauber Formula 1 CEO Monisha Kaltenborn has stepped down from after a falling out with the teams new owners.
Longbow Finance took over the team last year with Peter Sauber (founder of the Swiss team) retiring.
Although nothing has been confirmed, many sources claim that Kaltenborn didn’t agree with Longbow over how the team should be run. It is claimed that Longbow wanted to prioritise Marcus Ericsson over Pascal Wehrlein, something she wasn’t happy with.
The 46 year old Indian joined Sauber back in 2000 as part of the legal team before moving up to CEO in 2010 as well as taking a share in the company. She later dropped her shares but kept the position when Longbow took over.
It is believed that former HRT boss Colin Kolles is in the running replace the outgoing Kaltenborn.
