Sauber have confirmed that Pascal Wehrlein will make his 2017 race debut at this weeks Bahrain GP.
The German has missed the first 2 of this years races on safety grounds due to his crash at the race of champions. The accident caused him neck pain and made him unable to train for the new cars increased G forces.
As a result he withdrew from the races believing he couldn’t complete a race distance, he also missed the first pre season test in Spain with Ferrari third driver Antonio Giovinazzi replacing him in every session he missed.
